The Big Love
Company Presents: Falling Dan / Stanton Delaplane / Tali Trow
8.00pm FREE ENTRY
FD:
Malevolent dark folk / pop with elliptical lyric that creates a
sense of blissful unease. “Hauntingly beautiful… as stealthy
and gentle as the ether as it searches out your soul.
www.myspace.com/fallingdan
SD: “A
butterfly circles overhead as vaguely ecclesiastical choral
looping opens the wonderfully hirsute Delaplane's set of
comfortingly morbid narratives made splendid with euphonium,
guitar and glockenspiel”. Venue Magazine
www.myspcae.com/stantondelaplane
TT&TWB:
Like an acoustic atomic bomb going off in your head, then like a
mouse nibbling on cheese. “Tali Trow and the Well Being’s set
(was) mesmerising… folk tinged guitar with an almost trip hop
beat…”www.myspace.com/elloop |

SongSmith at Mr Wolf's
Irreverent, funny and bawdy, tonight headliners
Uncle John and the Germans are not for the easily offended but
are for people who like their folk with a smoky edge (www.myspace.com/unclejohnandthegermans
). Support tonight comes in the form of two female acoustic
acts. Sarah Joy coming at us from the heart and soul promoting
re-release album "Basically Naked" (
www.myspace.com/thisissarahjoy). And Nicky Johns (www.myspace.com/nickyjohnsmusic
) at the mellower end of the spectrum with a haunting and clear
voice, hopefully featuring guest musicians in the form of Neil
Ellis-Brookes and the excellent and lovely Richard Riley both of
whom have considerable reputations themselves as SongSmiths.
Admission is free with flier before 9pm, without flier
£1. After 9pm £2.
