The Mudheads have pulled quite a crowd at
the Fleece on this Tuesday evening. Omission have finished their set and now
it is time for Bristol's best goodtime band to show the Fleece what is what.
The enthusiastic audience is up is up dancing as soon as Mudheads launch
into the first track, unconditional love.
Who else but The Mudheads could get away
with this:
The Mudheads are individually extremely
competent, CJ's drumming is spot on, Aaron's guitar does the job nicely and
his backing vocals always compliment Paul, who is one of the best front of
band personalities that you will ever get to see.
This band is all about having a good
night out, I defy you to go along to a mudheads gig and not do this. Their
electric set is lively and loud and their enthusiasm is infectious. The song
previous to their encore was Elton Johns 'Saturday night' and not a soul in
the Fleece was standing still looking moody as is so often the case, the
boys had shown us a good time and by the end of the song we were cheering
for more.
The encore came in the shape of an
acoustic heavy metal set rolled into one song. Mudheads also play an
excellent acoustic set and they kind of condensed it all into the one song.
The only disappointment for me was that they missed out their 'Chas and
Dave' classic, oh well....there's always next time!
Remember, all
of the musical snippets here were recorded on a handheld recorder at the
gig!
