Dusk are a covers band. They play pub rock to audiences that
go to watch pub rock. Their set is as you would expect, hits from the likes
of The Who, Thin Lizzy etc.
There is a good circuit in Bristol for this type of band,
the pay is ok and the pubs are usually busy. So...I have established that
there is good reason for pub rock covers bands to exist.
To the band...
Dusk are Talented, tight, entertaining, they play songs that people want to
hear. Every one of the musicians is excellent. Drums & bass, faultless. Two
guitarists that play fine harmonies. An excellent vocalist that picks up an
acoustic now & again. Vocal Harmonies. Pub-rock perfection!
The Oak in Chipping Sodbury is a small venue that suffers
from having no stage or lighting. My only criticism of Dusk is that they
didn't bring any stage lighting. This would definitely have improved the
show.
