Jinxremover set
off on their European tour starting at the Louisiana on Sunday 6
May. Since hitting European shores they have been discovering what
life on the road is like in Germany, Chris from the band has sent us
this update:
“At the moment we're in Goslar in
East Germany. So far we've done four gigs in Germany, three with a
support band from California called
Waxy
-.
The gigs were in Bonn, Weisbarden,
Altenburg and last night was a great club called 'Tor
3'
in Goslar (). The shows have been good and going down well. German
audiences are a lot more receptive than English ones.
We've just found out we have an
extra date in Munich supporting
Brant Bjork and the Bros
on the 20th May before we head for Spain. The lead singer used to
play drums in Kyuss and Fu Manchu and the drummer used to play with
Queens Of The Stoneage. So that's exciting.
The venues are
looking after us well. They give us cooked meals, free booze and
places to stay AND they pay us. It's just so different from the UK.
They look after bands really well.
We're doing a
lot of miles and seeing a lot of East Germany as well as the West.
It's a very beautiful country.”
We’ll be back
with another update soon!
