THE SOUND
Scarlatti Tilt work along a pop-rock axis
with thickly textured, rich layered melodies and biting lyrical observation.
THE
STORY
Fuelled by Daisy’s “sweetness and
lightening vocals” swirling around twirling tempos, Scarlatti Tilt has
developed a loyal fan-base following a number of successful gigs in
Birmingham, Bristol and Glasgow.
Funded
purely by determination and enthusiasm, the band formed their own label,
Simmo publications Ltd and released Unsigned Heroes – a compilation
of local unsigned talent. The warm reception this received and the growing
success of the band saw Scarlatti Tilt break out from the Bristol area with
gigs around the UK. Support slots followed with a number of high-profile
acts, including Amy Wadge, Tetra Splendour and The Lockdown Project.
THE EP
In late
2003, the band recorded their EP Learning Curves. Retreating to
deepest Weston-super-Mare, the band worked hard on creating an EP that
represented the rich diversity of the band’s sound, but yet maintained a
consistent feel and interesting balance. The One Under EP was
launched at two gigs in Edinburgh and Glasgow late 2004. The band has a
number of live commitments into 2005, and is looking forward to playing in a
wide range of venues across the country. |
