Kashmir formed in 1992
in Portishead, Bristol by Dave Cherry, Chris Dymond and James Baker, later
adding Mark Bowering to the line up. Early Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin
influences were reflected in a bluesy rock sound. After recording their
first demo 'Royal Ocean' in 1996 and successful gigs in Bristol, a move
towards a harder edged, rockier style saw the line up change with Tim Clark
and Dan Stone replacing Mark & James respectively. A string of successful
live dates in and around the Bristol area has culminated in the recording of
Kashmirs self titled 2003 CD.
