JiNXREMOVER is a project conceived by three of the
life long members of Bristol band AIRBUS.
In 2002 AIRBUS took an extended break from live shows and recording.
James Childs went on to become a member of BLACK ON SUNSHINE and
performed production and bass duties with VIC DU MONTE’S PERSONA NON
GRATA, playing with ex members of KYUSS and QUEENS OF THE STONEAGE.
Chris Fielden went on to break all the rules with his mighty Rock
outfit YE GODS! in the UK.
Simon Hedges has been gaining success in the world of film and
television, of course he rocks like a bastard!
In 2006 James felt it was time to reopen that old wound that just
wouldn’t heal. Utilising the vast catalogue of songs that AIRBUS
wrote together to set a pace for JiNXREMOVER’s musical style, James
set about recording the debut album ‘Hospital Radio’. The album was
released on Spira Records in July 2006 and was backed by a short
tour of the USA.
Whilst in the USA, James, Chris and Simon set about recording a new
album. The recording sessions flowed so well that in three days 31
tracks were recorded. Over the autumn James worked on these songs
producing the current album ‘Spitfire’ which was released in
December 2006, also on Spira Records. The band have just completed a
well received tour of the UK to support the record’s release.
Next spring will see the release of a third album that is almost
complete, comprising of more songs from the Spitfire recording
sessions. It is entitled ‘Beyond The Big Hit’ and a tour of Europe
is currently being planned for April 2007 to support its release.
Dates are yet to be confirmed, so keep and eye out for them. Be sure
to catch JiNXREMOVER live when they come to your town!
Both ‘Hospital Radio’ and ‘Spitfire’ are available on itunes. For
