CD Review - Jacanda - Skimming Stones

How to describe Jacanda without referring to the obvious is not easy. Here are a few adjectives that may help, acoustic, melodic, harmonic, and lastly...excellent. The collection of songs that makes up the CD ‘Skimming Stones’ is well written, with intelligent lyrics and unusual time signatures. The album is professionally recorded and having played it quite a few times over the last month I must say that I don’t dislike any track, or perhaps I should say that I very much like every track.

You can listen to this music in the background as you prepare your latest gourmet delight or have it flow into the foreground as you sit in your favourite recliner. Once again Chris & the boys have come up with something a bit special and I am afraid that I can’t hold back on the obvious any longer, Jacanda IS the British version of Crowded House with the Pritchett brothers and three other very fine musicians creating stunning melodic audio delight.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
