Figment aren't boring,
they don't have set lists, they make each gig a spontaneous event and more
importantly, individual for their fans. With a new CD and a new manager the
band are ready to take their music to a wider audience. They don't try and
sound like anyone else and once you've seen them you'll love them. |

| The Horseshoe Downend 6-11-2005 by Kevin from Bristol Rocks | ||

Figment were the main attraction of a three band showcase at the horseshoe last night. Now being managed by Tricky, they were part of a well organised event. With a monster hired PA system and some excellent organisation, the logistics of three bands on one Sunday evening did not cause any problems and everything ran smoothly. The pub was packed and by the time Figment took to the stage the two previous bands had created an excellent atmosphere. Figment played an original set which is not the easy option with pub audiences who are used to the normal dose of ‘pub rock’ standards. From the first chord, the audience was transfixed; Figment live are raw energy, from the first song to the last they provided excellent entertainment that we in the audience were privileged to be part of. For me this is the ultimate live musical experience, a small pub with a decent sound system, a friendly crowd in close proximity to an excellent band that give 110%. It doesn’t get any better than that. So what are you going to do next time you see that Figment are playing live, sit in and watch Midsummer Murders? Don’t be a twat! Give yourself and your mates a treat, go see them and experience their energy. |
