When you listen to Elliot hall, you have to listen in the same way that you
would to early Bob Dylan or late Johnny Cash. The songs are raw and basic
but this is their quality. The lyrics are sometimes childlike yet at other
times quite complex and I do believe that they are torn from Elliot's soul.
Sonnets & Singers is an album of Elliot's songs with basic acoustic
accompaniment and a little help from some mates. |

| There are some intense moments within this
collection with songs like 'How you get things done' which encourages
the listeners dark side with vigilante thoughts (c'mon, you know
that you've had them) In contrast 'Put down your Pipe' is an anti drugs
song with a mostly positive message although the dealer does actually end up
minus his/her fingers.. |

| Overall you have to take this album as described
above, it is raw and edgy but if you take the time to look below the surface
you will be enchanted by Elliot's passion. |
