I
began writing songs when I was about 8 or 9 having had piano lessons since
the age of 7. But my real interest in writing and performing music only
arrived later in my teens when bored at home in summer '03 I picked up my
dads classical guitar and taught myself some Beatles songs.
By late 2004 I'd started playing weekly open mic. nights becoming a regular
at local bars. Then, in early 2005 I began playing solo gigs at student
halls and was also asked to perform at a special Tsunami Benefit Concert
attended by the Lord Mayor of Sheffield.
The summer of '05 became a massive turning point as I wrote and recorded my
first EP "Fading to Grey" and began developing my live looping thingamy at
home near Bristol, UK. The songs explore the classic themes of love, life,
loss and regret but these now have an added originality with the use of
effects pedals, creating drumbeats, bass lines and lead riffs live onstage
around my acoustic guitar and vocals.
Since playing my first solo show in October 05 supporting "The Feeling",
(you may have heard of them!) Ive been working endlessly to pursue my dream
and played gigs across the UK culminating in a whole load of summer shows
and a newly recorded EP entitled "What Are You Waiting For".
Once again, thanks for stopping by and supporting my music...it's much
appreciated....be sure to let me know what you think!
Take care and stay in touch,
