By 1964,
rock'n'roll was dead. In September of that year, 'You Really Got Me' by
the Kinks burst onto the scene and rocketed to the number one spot,
blazing a defiant path for the great early British rock anthems which were
to come.
The Who, Small Faces,
Kinks, Spencer Davis Group and others were followed by many 'mods' in the
mid 60s, the edgy and urgent style not lost on them. Carnaby Street closely recreates music from these artists,
retaining the original sound and feel of the music providing a great retro
experience.
