Sisters Kate (24), Charlie (22) and Sarah
(20) were born and raised just north of Bristol in the South West of
England. Brought up in a musical household the girls were singing together
from a young age. They soon started playing guitar, piano and bass to
accompany their vocals and called themselves 3D (three 'Dean' sisters).
In 2003 3D recorded a backing track for
ITV's 'Fame Academy' and in the same year performed in the Southampton Rose
Bowl as a backing band in a concert headed by Blue, Darius and the
Drifters.
The girls decided to strip the band to
basics in 2004 and go out as an acoustic act using just the guitar and three
part harmonies. In the same year they wrote and recorded their first
all-original EP entitled 'Maybe Someday'
In the summer of 2005 3D won a GWR FM radio
Bristol sponsored talent show and went on to play at the biggest free event
in Europe - the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, which they were invited to again
this year.
Since then the band have extended their
recordings and are working hard promoting their new all acoustic album
'Sister Acoustic'. They recently hosted a very successful album launch
which sold out a popular Bristol venue and have since received great
feedback from the recordings.
They are currently working on organising a
small month long European tour for next summer (2007) and are looking into
venues and areas to play in.
